Wildflowers before they’re cut and made ready for a vase.
There must be a hundred poetic & symbolic things to say about that! It’s beauty in its truest form! The roots are the greatest part of any wildflower, but they’re hidden away and they will rarely ever see the light of day. But they make the blooms alive, give them the foundation to reach toward the sunshine, splatter my walk with the joy of spring.
And I’m learning that being hidden is crucial to life, to living.
I am a Storytelling Poet bringing you beautiful tales of life as a woman, gardener & mother. I share personal prose often examining time and the poignant moments found in the day-to-day. Sour wild grapes, sentimentality, homemade Iced Earl Grey Lattes (the kind with brown sugar), sand, Thanksgiving, strong coffee, chickens, going barefoot, and fresh-born baby goats are a few of my favorite things in this life! So welcome to the blog and all the stories that bring us closer together if only we tell them.
