I’m Finally Sharing My Infertility Story. . .

And it’s personal, awful, and beautiful.

These last years were some of the hardest emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Poetry is the only way I know to truly acknowledge the reality of the pain that is infertility and honor the story I have lived alongside God.

So I wrote a book using only poetry to tell the story.

Looking back, 2017 was one of the worst years of my life as I began to really admit I was struggling with pain, grief, and scary questions + emotions. The following years of infertility would bring healing & hope in ways my heart was desperate for.

I’m finally in a place to share this with you.

Hope Gives a Eulogy is a collection of 95 poems inspired by the grief + pain of infertility and the healing + hope I found in God.

In the next few weeks, you can expect this photo with snippets of poetry, more about my infertility journey & what to look forward to in Hope Gives a Eulogy.

This is not a sampling of the book cover (but wait till you see the actual cover!!), but this photo does represent the spring that came eventually. But more on that when you actually read the poetry this spring!!โค

You need to know this story is not about getting pregnant. It’s not about my son. Pregnancy wasn’t the source of healing. It wasn’t THE answer. It certainly wasn’t the only impossible gift. The YEARS I grieved were somehow filled with hope & healing.

Because of God.

And THAT’S the story I’m telling. The poetry in Hope Gives a Eulogy covers the death-like, hollow, scraping emotions of infertility. . .and the healing I experienced in my womanhood because of God. . .the hope of life seen in flowers, finally seen in me. Before my son.

Spring 2021 is going to be lovely! And March is going to be full to the brim with poems inspired by Hope Gives a Eulogy and personal thoughts shared on my blog.

I’m so glad you’re here and so thankful and ready to share this with you.

I Have Good Stuff for Your Inbox

I am aware that this is not a strategic time to post anything. But I’m gonna do it, anyway. ๐Ÿ™‚ So HAPPY WEEKEND! I had a fabulous week. I did something different this week. I didn’t spend my time scrolling Facebook. It was awesome.

I also got back on my email game and now you can sign upย HERE!

And by the way, the email I’m sending out is going to make your Monday awesome. I hope to make it a Monday thing, but I need to get my book published before setting too many more goals (but let’s be real, I’m still gonna set that goal). ๐Ÿ˜‰

When I send an email to your inbox, it’s only the good stuff. It will be personal.ย  It will be much less edited. And most especially, it will be like a conversation…an ode to snail mail.

And all you have to do is SIGN UP!

I’d never be good at selling shampoo, essential oil, makeup, and you know…all the otherย magic potion health products…because apparently, this is the extent of my marketing skills…

an ill-timed blog post, a slapped-together description of a totally awesome email, and an ALL CAPS call for you to sign up.

But hey, I can’t wait to connect with you more personally. I can’t wait to be a part of your Monday.

I’m so excited for 2018!

Monday’s email is just the beginning!

October Life { An Update}

I wanted to write and share with you a little about my life before jumping into other blog posts. I also know there are a few new readers here, and I wanted to welcome you. So, WELCOME!! ๐Ÿ™‚

October was a full month with our Real Women series. I was challenged and encouraged greatly by the women who shared their stories with me and all of us! It was also strange to be doing so much work behind the scenes, but not writing nearly as much as usual. A nice break, but strange nonetheless. ๐Ÿ™‚

These past two months proved to be really growing for me in several different ways. I learned some things that I look forward to sharing with you. I am also finally settling into my new home and really beginning to enjoy my surroundings as well as the people I am connecting with. One day you wake up, and just realize this is your home & you have to start living like it is (but more about that lesson in a different post!).ย  Continue reading “October Life { An Update}”
