You Are Invited

On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. They shall pour forth the fame of your goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

And you are invited here.

The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his mercy is over all that He has made.

And you are invited here.

All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord, and all your saints shall bless you! They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.

And you are invited here.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.

And you are invited here.

The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises all who are bowed down. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works.

And you are invited here.

The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on Him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He also hears their cry and saves them.

And you are invited here.

Invited to see the power of God firsthand. Invited to be rescued, made new, and heard. Invited to healing even when the pain overwhelms you. Invited to cry and be helped. Invited to be a spokesperson for God. Invited to a life shaped by the abounding love of God.

You are welcomed into God’s story and your life unfolds under the canopy of His goodness, the power of His love. You don’t invite God into your life, your life is invited into His. You are transformed by the invitation of a lifetime that lasts for a lifetime.

And so. . .live invited.

See the hand of God. Taste the goodness of God. Recognize the power of God in your own life and in all the lives before you. Know God deeper, deeper, deeper still.

And as you see your life for what it is–invited–you will be less overwhelmed by all it is not. You are welcomed into God’s Great Story which will envelop every nuance of your life. You are not here to fend for yourself or your story as you scream and plead with God to please walk into your life with His power, goodness, and love.

Oh no.

His story is in you.

You are invited to watch all of your rough drafts and rewrites unfold in the original, specific way God has always purposed for you. You are invited to see and experience what life in God fully means. You are invited to be here while God multiplies your life and deepens your understanding of His love in your life. You are a recipient of God’s goodness and a spokesperson for His goodness. You are living proof there is a living Hope.

You are invited.

And you are invited here eternally.
