There goes my son sailing down the slide with sword and shield raised high, soaking his jeans thanks to the earlier rain.

Photos hanging at work. ❤

Here comes my daughter with arms outstretched running to me squealing “Mommy!” on a plain Tuesday morning.

There’s my baby girl crawling to me as fast as she can with a grin I wish I could bottle up for keeps, but learn to treasure right in the moment.

One of the last times I was folding burp rags for my baby last year…<3

Nobody wants life sugar coated. That’s obnoxious. I’m not over here sticking my head in the sand or pretending motherhood is all goodie-goodie gumdrops. But you know something?

There is gold to be found here in these heavy-laden days on earth.

Our Lord and sovereign Father is constantly threading the beauty of Himself and His blessings into our life stories. If only we would open our eyes to see it! If only we would dare to call what is good, good. To let what is lovely be lovely! To enjoy joy. If only we would dare!

My son drew us in the sun. 🙂

What beautiful moments are piling up quietly in your days? What might you see if you noticed?

The grand showing of your life from God is unfolding. I dare you to open your eyes. To look at it head-on. The beauty of the Lord is right there in plain sight.

Let it be there and give thanks to the Lord from whom all blessings flow.

Me + Sylvia last Spring ❤

Don’t Take Me Back – the painful side of social media’s 2016 trend.

P.s. – I’ve been pretty quiet over here and I hope to get back into the swing of everything soon. I want to do more blogging. I’m still here! Also, we are mere weeks away from The Heart of Hugh launching. Subscribe to my Substack to get all the chapters as soon as they drop. – Green Fables Substack

P.P.s – Substack is not taking the place of this blog. I’m still here. I just want to make that known. 🙂
