It feels like it’s been awhile, but hi. I’m still here. October was absolutely FULL. Let’s catch up!

Not only did I publish Carol of the Mourning Dove but I also got everything squared away so both Carol of the Mourning Dove and Swan Song of a Scarecrow are available to purchase in the Kindle store and are free to read in Kindle Unlimited! If that’s your preferred method of reading I’ve got you covered!

Apart from the huge undertaking of completing Carol of the Mourning Dove and publishing in October, I also decided to say goodbye to Mailchimp after nearly seven years of using the service. This is a good (but big) change for me and my readers. We’ve made it through the transition & now it’s official–
I am exclusively sending my Monday emails from Substack.
I write a little more about that change here if you want to read more about it.
I’m so excited to be writing weekly on Substack and seeing where it takes me and what it means for my growth as a creative storyteller and writer!
I am not getting rid of this website.
It is still my home base for my poetry books and my garden, Green Fables. I’ll be taking the rest of this year to dream about how I want this space to feel, where I want Substack to go, and how I want both of these two things to work together. I’m still a flower gardener, poet, and sunflower enthusiast, and I’m still here! But I’m also growing as a writer and that means new things (writing on Substack) and seeing where to keep the old things (this blog) really steady.
To follow me on Substack and receive an email every Monday in your inbox, subscribe here.
All my posts on Substack are free! And you don’t need a Substack account to subscribe. I kept the name very straightforward—Sierra’s Substack. Once subscribed you can expect a mixture of slice-of-life short stories, personal reflections, poetry and prose once a week. If I send more than one email, it’s because inspiration really took over and I really want to share something good with you.
I already want to write another book, but first I must rest! Now, it’s time to dream, grow, and–in the same breath–to just be for a moment.
Grab Carol of the Mourning Dove here or read free in Kindle Unlimited.

Thank you for being a part of my journey as I write, fumble through, and embrace each life season. Sharing this with you is a joy!
Talk soon. 🙂 And sooner than later if you join us on Substack!
Happy Monday!
