A Poem of Impossible Blooming

After the emptiness,
the rattlesnakes,
the venom,
the terrifying turn of
seasons passing on, you too.
you’d see widlflowers
right where death
had been,
you were sure death
had been!
But you cried “Father,”
and He said,
Here.”
So time lost its venom
and dry earth, cracking
heart would bloom
and you spend ages
marveling
at this,
you breathe easy
in the sun,
you get older,
come upon
the altar
where
your life began,
at second glance,
a meadow.
