In late 2022 I spent time in the Hebrews, and clung to that portion of God’s Word. Especially Hebrews 13. I kept thinking of my Grandpa Walt when reading the verse “Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.”

In keen moments last year, I struggled in that muddled way you do when multiple things come to a head. I was utterly weak in the knees, perplexed, and felt very fainthearted, but Hebrews 13:7 gave me something to do with my buckling under. Remember. LOOK. Examine!
I looked at my Grandpa who has walked with God for years. Not perfect, by any means, but a span of life rich in obedience to Christ and the outcome of that so obviously good, peaceful…and desirable. I have been immensely blessed with a family heritage of faith so it is not only Grandpa who has shown me this long life of faithfulness, but last year, it was Grandpa Walt I just kept thinking of whilst reading that verse.
When I composed this latest collection of poetry, Dead of Night, it only made sense to dedicate it to my Grandpa Walt. I have been blessed by his long obedience to Christ, Our Lord and Savior. Grandpa, unbeknownst to him in those fragile moments, was quite a lifeline as I sat there at night reading in Hebrews and feeling so vulnerable. And I am thankful. Thankful for Grandpa. Thankful to God.
In less than 24 hrs, the poems will be yours to read completely free. And I’m so looking forward to sharing these with you! Most especially Spiritual Warfare, Eyewitness Account, and Threshold.
See you then.💖
