If you have read any of my earlier blog posts, than you know that we have been in the midst of making a worn-out trailer look fabulous! Well, at least our style of fabulous, anyhow. After taking a small break from our home improvements, we put even more work into our bathroom and bedroom this weekend. And I have to say the outcome has been lovely! Very welcome, indeed, since the rooms we started with were scary and that’s to say the least. However, it is with great enthusiasm that I tell you our bathroom is just about finished. Ehem…it still needs a door, but like I said, it’s just about finished and I couldn’t be more happy with the results! So, let’s get this bathroom tour movin’ along. Oh and a warning, I am a writer, not a photographer. An inexperienced photographer with an old 4s iphone can only do so much, folks! Excuse the picture quality, and you’ll enjoy yourself just fine. As many of you know, Ben and I have undertaken the awesome (exhausting) privilege of making a run-down place into our first home. When we walked through the trailer several weeks ago, we saw the possibilities and the potential. Even through all the ugly brown and the signs of age, we knew we could make this little trailer into our comfy first home.
And let me tell ya, there is a difference between pinning like a mad woman on Pinterest and actually doing what you’ve pinned.
But that’s a side note. Anyway…..
We used some new paint, but we picked many of our colors according to the left-over paint that his dad had lying around. We opened some of the paint cans and apologized to our noses! And then we opened some other cans and said, “This will work on such and such wall! What a good color! And it’s free.” Or something along those lines. Continue reading “Our First Home”
